Chelmsford National News: Dai Powell appointed chair of Disabled Persons' Transport Advisory Committee
The Department for Transport has appointed Dai Powell as the new Chair of the Disabled Persons' Transport Advisory Committee (DPTAC).
The outgoing Chair is Neil Betteridge, who has served since July 2003 and will be stepping down on 30 June 2009. Mr Powell will take up the appointment from 1 September 2009.
The Department for Transport also announced the appointment of the following new members of the DPTAC: Heather James, Jagroop Kaur, Claire Lamb, John Ballantine, Olav Ernstzen, Asif Iqbal, Andrew Probert and Andrew Rickell.
The new members and Chair will bring to the Committee a combination of experience and expertise in disability and transport.
